Hello All,

Please I would like someone with an expansive idea on Canadian immigration to come to my aid no matter how trivial his/her idea could be.

I have an HND in Mechanical Engineering with an Upper credit grade, but have never practiced engineering for one day. Therefore, I have zero experience in engineering. I have been working for the past 5 years as a Property Management clerk in one of the international organizations in Nigeria.

Moreover, my wife has a diploma in Nursing and has been working as a registered Nurse for the past 5 years, also she has completed her degree in Nursing sciences ( BSN )in the University of Nigeria Enugu Campus but the result is awaited.

My questions?

1. Who is more qualified among us to be the main applicant?
2. How do we apply as an independent applicant considering the fact that we don't have anyone not even a friend in Canada?
3. What are the requirements both for finances and documentations?
4. How long does the whole process take?
5. What is the IELTS required pass mark and does it have to be an Academic or General test? ( I meant the type to write ).
6. What are the steps to be taken? what should be done first?
7. When is the right time to start the application?

Please your candid answers to these questions would be so much appreciated as I look forward to hearing from the guru's on the forum.

Thanks,

Fort Lauderdale
