I came across this article concerning the Nigerian Police's new found security measure: policing hair styles and sartorial choice.

On resuming for the new semester, I was no more a passive contributor to the Operation Bust stories but a living testimony. One more close encounter and I was done with carrot jeans. Osun state already found a way to solve the issue of indecent dressing in the state by going a step ahead of Oyo. The government introduced a Special Anti-Robbery Squad abbreviated as SARS which now primarily beat up locals for indecent dressing rather than tracking down criminals. It was this close and I was not too bothered till this day I set my eyes on them. I was still growing while the military were in government. I guess that was why I was so shocked by their presence. Hefty men with armor all over them like they were on a peace keeping mission to the warring parts of Africa.
