President of the Academic Staff Union of
Universities (ASUU), Dr Nasir Fagge, has
declared that the ongoing indefinite strike
embarked upon by university teachers may
linger for long unless the Federal Government
honours the agreement reached with the union.
He made the position known in Abuja on
Monday, while speaking at a forum to assess the
mid-term report of the government, organised
by Independent Service Delivery Monitoring
Group (ISDMG).
Fagge said the question of how soon ASUU
would call off the strike depended on the
willingness of the Federal Government to act on
