Tired of the watching your hair break all the time and having that stunted growth? You must have tried a lot of creams and relaxers and it is still the same issue. The truth is we all want to have healthy and shining hair,but we often forget that whatever we eat also affects our hair not just our body and our hair deserves as much pampering as we give our body to have a better look.

Here are 7 types of food you should be eating for that healthy mane you desire:


Protein:

Regular intake of protein helps in improving hair growth and reduces hair breakage, If you have a weak hair, you should include food rich in protein such as eggs, chicken,turkey, these food contain a high quantity of protein and help strengthen and repair the hair follicles and stop hair breakage.

Seafood:

Sea foods are great sources of omega-3 acids, vitamins D and E.It helps to keep the hair and scalp healthy,and increases growth of the hair, sea foods such as fish,crayfish, crabs,etc should be included in your diet for a more lustrous and healthy hair.

Whole Grain:

These types of food produces fiber,Vitamin B1,B2,B6 helps nourish the scalp and hair follicles,it makes the hair glow naturally, such food include: flour,rice,cereals,etc.

Vegetables:

If you really want to have that healthy hair,include lots of green vegetables(also known as tete in Yoruba and green in Ibo), pumpkin leaves(ugwu), spinach,etc. These vegetables enhance the production of sebum which essential for hair growth and also contain Iron,vitamins A,C and Calcium which are essential for health growth.

legumes such as beans, soy and lentils provide proteins,vitamins, biotin and minerals such as iron and zinc and also helps in the production of keratin in the hair.This makes the hair strong and flexible.

Fruits does wonders for the hair,including it in your diet causes the hair tresses to be silky for a very long time,fruits such as avocado can be used as an hair treatment such as steaming if mixed with eggs and applied in the hair,other fruits such as carrots contain beta carotene that also stimulates hair growth.

Nuts:

Nut such as almonds,walnuts,etc help in preventing hair loss and breakage through the help of selenium and zinc.Including this in your diet will definitely give you a thicker and stronger hair.
