On Thursday, the Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka joined issued with the government of President Jonathan when he blamed Mrs. Patience Jonathan as the catalyst fueling the crisis in Rivers State. Soyinka called the First lady “a domestic appendage to power” and demanded that she should be called to order. Coming a week after the Lagos-based Punch Newspaper published a blistering editorial demanding the curtailing of the powers of the First Lady.
