Is interstates road travel in the night safe in Nigeria? Can one travel from Lagos to lets say Anambra by road in the

night and not worry about armed robbers or kidnapers? Can one travel from Ibadan to Abuja and not have to give a single

naira to the police? And are the roads safe enough to travel at night? if you know the answers to these questions please

answer them....I plan on doing some traveling around...

Yes. The attendant risks factored on the account of the risks taker alone.

safe according to naija roads is a lucky word, some days u may be lucky to travel all night long without encountering any armed robbers, or police road blocks but on a bad day u will experience all of the above

No. Very dangerous. Bad roads, poor visibility (roads are not lit up), robbers etc

Inter-states travelling by road in Nigeria is not even too safe in the day time and somebody is talking about night.

Not safe
Re: Is Interstates Road Travel At Night Safe In Nigeria? by dom(m): 3:50pm On Jul 15, 2013
Yeah, the road is very free. But then thats when most of these ruthless truck and lorry drivers ply the roads. Secondly bad boys (armed robbers) tend to prefer doing their marketing in the dark hours. Pls don't try it.
Re: Is Interstates Road Travel At Night Safe In Nigeria? by Nobody: 3:50pm On Jul 15, 2013
Robbery is your number one concern, because even during the daytime unemployed youths with access to guns sometimes take their hustle to the interstate highways.

I sometimes wonder why these type of obvious questions are even asked?? Is it just a deliberate attempt to make NLers debate or is someone genuinely clueless about things (despite having an NL ID that says the contrary)

quite safe, i travel at night all the time... But please use public transport and hold a little change in case of unforeseen breakdown! Luxurious buses are my preference. If you carry your personal car you are on your own smiley
