I dont follow soccer that much (if at all), but my first thought wouldve been: Who threw the news out there and WHY? Granted, age is not on his side, and from what everyone is saying hes not a regular for the first team, but its clear that hes prolific and could be an immense contribution to whatever team he goes to. So, doesnt it make sense that this news is being put out there so he can be devalued as lowly as possible and picked up at the lowest possible price by an interested team?

Just my thoughts.

Ironically there someone else who is equally tossing his toys but can pay that sum with a week's wages. Yes, he's Wayne Rooney. But there the similarities end. Rooney will walk into any Premiership club including the Three Lions. Moral of the story. If you go to battle, never, absolutely never open up two war fronts simultaneously. Hitler, Napoleon, Ghengis Khan all fell this way. Sorry Peter, if club didn't want you at least country could av. Lesson for those players who think green white green is a waste of time. The NFF may be a pain in the neck but its your insurance card.

Football is about total discipline and that is the reason player like mikel obi is above others inclusive osase.Mikel is the most criticise nigeria player. But have never see him going to twitter to insult anybody.Honestly, osase is a very good player but how many good coach will like to have osase in his team. This is a guy that said 1.Siasia is not ripe for SE after olympics.2Shuaib Amodu is not a good coach.3 Lagerback lack technical ability because Chinedu Obasi was picked ahead of him during world cup.4 Keshi lack respect. And to crown it all,he mess up with west brom coach. With all these, some football fans still want Osase in the natinal team.

All of you that are talking trash here, ask yourselves; how much is anyone, anywhere willing to bid for you to do anything?

aikuda: From many of the posts here, it looks like many people are so quick to jump up in jubilation whenever bad news about Osaze is reported. I wonder what he did that is so bad that people want him to fail so badly! we are so quick to forget his ten years of pure dedication to the Super Eagles. Anyways, this is no news because other EPL clubs are already bidding 2.5 million pounds. Na wa for naija people!
Trying playing the devil's advocate won't help. The bottomline, his value has really dropped due to lack of playing time or probably...

erekere: It is most unfortunate that he finds himself at this level.
I guess it is a repercussion of what he and others did to undermine the authority of sia1.
He and cohort played so badly that we failed to qualify for 2012 nations cup.
see what has become of him today.
i dont pity the guy as i believe his career downward slope has just started.
Same with Mikel, but why is Obi not in his shoes?

The only thing that can revive Osaze's career is the Nigerian National Team but unfortunately he has abused everybody including the coach, NFF officials and even journalists and to make matters worse Nigeria won the AFCON, people are only clamouring for his return because the likes of moses, emenike and a few others were not in the confed cup but the guys are back now with the likes of ameobi and in case anichebe, the ike brothers come back too, my people Osaze own don finish o.

My fear is that West brom will continue to deal with him by not selling him [remember tevez n macini at man city] look at what rooney is facing now at man utd, his national team career may bail him out but osaze is not yet aware of the deep soup he has found himself. The guy should just continue to hope for the best.

And just like someone has said earlier on this thread, the green white green shirt is a very big deal o despite the kind of football administrators we have who chop players bonus. the likes of mikel know this very well and ameobi too has realized this. someone too need to advise anichebe very fast. Balotelli can mess up at club level, but never at the Italian National Team.

Lol not even up to 1m. That's what ego turns a man into. Even the so called 'arrogant' & much more talented Ronaldo doesn't insult his superiors in the media. And all this talk about super eagles, how many goals did he score for us? He has not scored up to the likes of yakubu & kanu. How many assists does he have? #overhyped

coz he didn't insult nff & his club officials. Furthermore, he's more important to the eagles than the overhyped wingie..

No, you are the one wrapped in fervent cynicism. He is 31, of couse his has value has dropped, and will continue to drop. That is the case with all players. The issue is why you are so happy because osaze's value has dropped. He has played for many years, he probably will never come to ask you for money! It will be wise to focus on your own life to even achieve a little of what he has. Geez!

What has that got to do with anything? Who is comparing him with Mikel? Has it occurred to you that he didn't do well in SE because of the perennial problems in SE? Perhaps you forgot that he scored double digits in one year at west brom and won awards. Instead of this endless criticism and jubilation over another man's trial, maybe you should take a long look at your own life and think of what you can contribute to your family, community and country. Osaze has done something that is why we are talking about him. Who is talking about you?

No you are from the cave! If not you would have seen that EPL clubs are seeking his services. If you say those are rumors, how are you sure this Al Nasr bid is not a rumor? You only CHOSE to believe this story because it is negative about Osaze. How sad and low can that be!

I don't understand all this lamentation about Osaze career from you guys. This guy is 31 and has a one year contract with west brom. It does not matter whether they play him or not, they will still have to pay him for the one year. By the time he is done with them he will be 32 years old. Honestly if he calls it quit at 32, for someone that has been playing for as long as he has, there is no cause for alarm. Except he is foolish enough not to have managed his money wisely. Maybe people should take little less panadol for Osaze's headache!

Osaze never undermined the SE. For more than ten years when your lord Mikel and others refused to honor national call, it was this osaze and co that we relied on. Dont compare Rooney with osaze. They are not the same age. Moreover, Rooney is English, of course his value will be higher than that of Osaze. Rooney publicly criticized his club nobody is killing him. You people self!
