Good morning, my car odometer and fuel gauge stopped working also it finds it hard to change gear. On scanning it gave p0500 error. I want to know where the sensor is located because they are two.

Change the instrument cluster/dashboard. Try meet the seller and tell him you will test with his own, if it works you pay. Try with 2 or 3 samples. if not the VSS sensors maybe the issue. Is your ABS working ?

Hello house, I am board to give technical support to prevail automatic transmission issues. I am expert.
Toyota Rh 350 with high oil temperature codes, it was due to two factors. Oil sensor itself has electrical wiring issue, maybe short circuit or open circuit. Or sensor itself is grounded internally. Or lose of sensor electrical connectors.
For RAV4 jacking while on the road, check oil level, shift electrical solenoid is having short circuit or open circuit. Or it is stuck closed or opened.
Toyota Camry with acceleration issue could be from insufficient fuel in the tank or failing fuel pump, or dirty fuel filter. Or torque converter solenoid electrical issue.

For your Toyota Corolla or any vehicle that is having dashboard or speedometer working issue. If it Nissan products, check OD on the gear selector if it is ok off position, normally it should be in on position. If it is Toyota vehicles, it is either ABS sensor or speedometer switch itself that has failed. Run a scan to know which of the highlighted factor is responsible for the failure. ABS sensors are on the wheels, some Toyota Camry use wheel ABS to control speedometer or speedometer itself on the automatic transmission box

Good morning,

For the past two weeks, my Mercedes E320,w211, have been having problem of shifting gear from gear 1, once I engage the gear I hear a Gbi sound, and once the car is on motion I will be hearing a humming sound from the gear without changing gear.

I engage the service of the mechanic and as usual trial and error.

Please who can help me with a very competent gear specialist in Abuja that can help me out
Re: Automatic Gearbox Problems by Nomerci: 5:01am On Jan 14
That gbi sound is from the clutch
The clutch plate is bad or misaligned .u need to replace the clutch plate

Please help, my sienna 2004/2005 has issues. When am driving, when I engage reverse I hear the gbim sound at the back. Then as I drive further, it stops accelerating and stop. If I leave it for some time to cool it moves for some time and stops again. I engaged a gear mechanic to work on the gear After 3week he returned the car that its okay but after driving for like 35mins I encountered the same fault.this is after he claimed to have changed the fiber.so he came with a wire he connected to the car from the bonnet to spark the battery head before the car could drive home. Please I need advise on next step to take as the car is all wheel drive

Buy new gear. Also check your knock sensors. They are usually below spark plugs area or side of engine either driver or passenger side or near top cylinder. If after every :no level.buy toks. Toks price would determine pin. Just dey pray say the pin no pass 10

Good morning house. I use a 2007 Nissan versa. I noticed that when my gear gets cold it doesn't engage unless i throttle it. But once it get hot i can drive it for hours with no issues. I only experience it when i park it and allow the car to get cold. And again,i think the car is now in limp mode because it's permanently on gear three,it doesn't select as automatic usually select,it's just on gear three. Please any solutions for me?

Good morning Mech. Doctors in the house.
I'm having issues with my 2002 Toyota Sienna. It recently starts having issues changing gears. I was told the ABS machine was bad so I changed for about 40k+ and it works fine for several month. I noticed a leak under and beside the drive shaft so I took to mechanic to change the seal and things now, there is no leak any longer but my car wont change gears again. I had to drive the car on low speed to a nearby gearbox engineer to resolve. He told me the ABS machine is good that all I'll need do to avoid disappointment is to change it to Pebble or Bebble and that'll cost 50k. Pls has anyone experienced this before?

Note: I usually travel to Warri from Ibadan atleast 3 times in a month.

The mechanic has contaminated your gear. i believe the shaft was removed during this seal replacement. You may be lucky it works well again if you flush the oil and replace with original WS.
or scan to see the codes. share the codes here

Good day all. Where can I get this.

Re: Automatic Gearbox Problems by Atolani11: 9:53am On Apr 03
Good morning.
So my Toyota corolla 2006 is jerking when u put the gear in drive. Also when i am accelerating...as it changes from gear 1 to 2, you ll feel the jerk(a kind of forward push).
I have heard the issue with my matrix before, and it was the gear mount that got broken,it was changed and the jerking stopped.
But now, the mechanic checked all the engine seat and gear mount and they are intact.
Transmission fluid is well gauged and pink.
Injector, fuel filter and plugs are fine.

However, we noticed that the bottom plate of the gear has hit ground before and slightly pressed inward.
The mechanic plan to open it and straightened it out, he said the gear might be forcefully drawing oil because of that.
He also said there's a worn up 'cup' beside the gear which he has packed.(that However didn't resolve the issue)
The jerk is just a bit exergerrated beyond the normal gear engagement you ll normally notice when you engage the gear.
From my previous experience....it shows thesame way it does with my matrix untill i changed the gear mount.
I was suprise this corolla isn't gear mount issue.

Please any plausible suggestions 🙏?

cardoctor:
Automatic gearbox issues have become a reoccuring decimal to any automatic car owner. Slow take off, sluggish acceleration, lack of kick down, loss of drive while in motion, lack of gear change, aggressive gear changes, high engine revs without power in drive just to name a few.

From my observation and the complaints made by some of our customers, these problems usually start from a gearbox oil change that was recommended by the mechanic who then uses the wrong type of ATF oil for the transmission.

Most car manufacturers develop their own ATF formula for their cars.

Honda recommends their own formula ATF-z1 for their gearboxes manufactured between 1998 to 2009 and upgraded to the ATF-Dw1 for gearboxes manufactured from 2010 upwards.

Toyota uses the Type 4 ATF for their cars manufactured between1996 to 2007 and the Toyota WS ATF for ones manufactured between 2007 to present.

Most other car manufactures have also upgraded the type of ATF for their modern cars from the common Dexron 2 and 3 petroleum mineral blends.

Using the wrong grade of ATF would almost certainly result in a failing transmission. Low grade ATF may not be able to handle the extreme temperature operations of an auto gearbox. Under very high temperatures, low grade oil loses its viscosity and may begin to boil causing loss of hydraulic functions by frothing or foaming. With lubrication and cooling functions inhibited, electric solenoids and valves including fibres on the wet clutch plates begin to disintegrate with other terminal damages occuring.

Some remedies I have seen used by local mechanics is to further add Engine oil to the gearbox in order to increase the viscosity of the ATF. This in turn puts the pump under great stress as the thicker oil would require more effort from the pump in distributing the oil under high pressure as well as the oil filter which is usually embedded within the transmission gear train. (The removal and changing of all Honda transmission oil filter would require the removal of the gear box from the car and stripping down the gearbox)

The resulting consequence would be an imminent and extreme overheating of the transmission and components such as the friction plates and a rapid degradation of the wet clutch fibres hence the loss of drive, slipping clutch and rough gear changes.

Replacing the gearbox or a total overhaul by an expert would be the likely solution but before then, an inexperienced mechanic would Send you on a wild goose chase by suggesting the removal and servicing or outright replacement of shift solenoids on the outer casing of the gearbox. These solutions Don't last as its just a temporal remedy to a terminal issue.

We constantly repair these gearboxes and those of other makes to a very high standard with 99.9% success rate and we recommend that if you are having serious issues with your automatic gearbox, ensure that appropriate procedures are followed.
