There are areas in Lagos that can boast of electricity up to 20hrs a day.
Ojodu in Lagos state has very good electricity, same with Alapere, Ogba, Yaba (Alagomeji area).
There are areas in Lagos were electricity is terrible no doubt, at least I know of Festac etc.

Where I live in satellite town lagos, it's more that 16hrs per day sometimes. What you have to do if you don't enjoy up to 16hrs is to check out what's wrong in ur area. Probably some impostors hijack your amenities down the channel.

Thank you for this post. I was telling my friend who has also been to the U.S(we were comparing the Police force here at home and in the U.S), if he noticed something weird about Nigerian police on the road.

We both noticed that most of the time, when you are driving and you see police lights and hear their sirens, it's usually because they are escorting some V.I.P. Seriouly, next time anyone is driving and notices polices sirens, look closely, and you will see they are escorting some special person, lol.

Hardly do they blow sirens for the right reasons; to preserve law and order in our society.

On coming from the air port one time, with other nationals, there was this fully unclad woman right on the curb. Is Satellite town having good electricity now? My friend said sometime back that they have poor supply, and I just mentioned your area in my previous post as an area with poor supply.

I think he's right,atleast here in my area achara layout enugu, power has been relatively stable i must say bt they av to do more, KUDOS TO GEJ!

What i just have to say to this is that,some areas are enjoying this 16hrs of uninterrupted electricity. But the minister shouldn't have ascertain it as 'all Nigerians',coz 4my no get light o

And as for stolen transformers, (bi iku ile ko pa ni, ti ita ko le pani) the man should check "inside". Its only those who have the knowledge of assembllling and dismantling of such a sensitive equipment that can go near it, so, some checks need to be done within.


As for vandals, (ojo gbogbo ni ti ole, ojo kan ni ti oni nkan) everyday is for the thief, one day is for the owner, the only problem is that when the result comes and they are all roasted by fire, which they have caused on themselves, we will be sympathising with them, but then, the government should try and provide more jobs, because, idle hands are usually the devil's workshop.

Where i stay, its definitely more than 16 hrs. Last weekend, from thursday to monday morning(before i left d abode), there was uninterrupted light.

Vandalisation simply indicates people dont have light. Vandals dont approach transformers/cables when dey are live and carrying current. These people just talk to us like we are numbskulls.

May be he told the truth but not the whole truth. Light has been a bit stable in my area since last week, but a guess is not so all over the country.

Why is it that when they talk about improved electricity supply, na only members of 40 laptop squad dey get this light?

Why can't we be truthful for once?change is a constant phenomenon as well as a gradual process, at least there has been significant changes in the distribution of power, i am an ardent critic of the govt on power, but sincerely these days the situation has improved in Jos, i was in Bauchi the other week, my uncle was praising the govt for a job well done. Things may not be perfect but let's be fair in our assessment and hope that power keeps improving as they promised us.
