The Deputy Senate President and Chairman, Senate Committee on Constitution Amendment, Ike Ekweremadu on Tuesday declared as false the widespread belief that the Senate has endorsed early marriage. Speaking at a media briefing, Senator Ekweremadu said that the Senate only tried to delete an existing clause in the constitution which it considered discriminatory against women.
