Im born again, tounge speaking, devoted to God, also HUMAN, testosterone filled young man, and yeah a VIRGIN, (its not been easy by the way),

I try everyday to keep my mind pure, I have eyes, I see some beautiful creations of God, well sculpted, y'all know what I mean. My mind wanders sometimes, a lot of times I allow it to, its fun; but we all know what the bible says,

I made a decision not to commit sexual sin, and that is what I live my life by, here's what makes it harder, lots of girls make passes at me, I know I have the looks (not trying to be vain, but if you see me you'd agree), the profile, nice dressing, great job, the whole works

But really, want you guys to share your experiences, how you keep your mind pure, what you do when it wanders, when you see graphic stuff (on the roads, t.v etc)

Like people say, "how do you manage congi", lol

@ phizzy i feel you, it aint easy. im born again-tongue speaking-sanctified-spirit filled- the whole works!!!! but my body? doesnt seem to know it smtyms. i gat this neighbour, cute dude, poor guy doesnt hav the foggiest idea wot his walking around topless does to my mind. he's a christian too, and a friend. the first time it happened, i spent the next few weeks dreaming of those arms, flat tum and chest, (can u see ive started again!) wreaked havoc wit my prayer life 4 weeks cos evry tym i got down 2 pray, it came up n off my mind would go!! u get the picture.
the thing is u cant stop birds from flyin over ur head bt u sure can stop them nestin in it. once it starts, just squash it fast or else u'll keep savouring it, n like me, wonder how u got from just scoping a nice body to making love, lol!

You see, we're in the same shoes.
When I was younger, that hormone thing would have ripped me off my chastity. I heard friends among the opposite sex but I tried not to get too close. But since I started listening to God's word- the Ko'ran and watching Great Religious lectures, my life changed tremendously. For example, All'ah my God constantly promises that those who sleep with people who they're not married to, that theirs will be the fire of burning. And promises those who guard their chastity, pure mates. . The prophet says they(pure mates- virgins) will be many for just one righteous soul.

Luckily,am not in Nigeria because naija babes are dangerous. In Egypt, don't make the mistake of sleeping with someone you're not married to. You will go to jail!!!

Lesson: I think Nigeria see nothing wrong in sex before marriage.Please don't be fooled, Satan has made that evil act fair seeming to most of them. Don't sleep with a girl even if you plan to marry! If you wish to, marry now.

I would re-word point 2: Do not watch/use porn.

I think you should be able to appreciate beauty (like the beauty we see in our every day lives, including beautiful people) provided we have the right attitude and we are trying our best not to be lustful.

As for point number 5, and the end of the quote, do you really think its a good idea to encourage people to use their desire to have sex with someone (no matter whether they think they're in love or whatever) to get married soon? Surely we all know we're not supposed to get married in order to make sex 'ok'. It's perfectly natural for a man to want to have sex with women. Any (young/youngish etc) man who says he doesn't think about sex with beautiful women is either homosexual, or has been castrated or is lying.

My point, however, is be very careful what you advise people to do. And sexual desire is natural, and not a cause to marry someone.

Simple by filling your mind with the Word of God, the word of God actually cleans you up gradually the more you mediate on it JOHN 15-3 says

I am a girl and It's not always easy for girls to keep there thoughts clean as well, when things like that happen i just think about something else, something that well get my mind of things or if that does work i will pray to God forgiveness and for he's Strength to be pure at age 12 I got really serous about My religion literally and i am still Quite young now, trying to follow these rules so i can get used to it then when i get married and have children they hopefully will get used to It and love God dearly. Also i promised i will remain a virgin till I am married.

It's not a sin for wandering thoughts to come to you but when you buy such and begin to fantasize with them then it's wrong. You're spiritual yet you surround yourself with distractions like films with erotic scene . There is high tendency for you to be battling with your mind.

You should simply get busy serving God with a strong passion. And cut off things that negatively inspire.It will grant focuss which will naturally knock out all wrong feelings.

But if not, maybe you should get married , like someone suggested . By following paul's advice:

King David, Solomon, Moses etc even the most blessed are taunted with SIN and TEMPTATION, Jesus Christ also passed through this experience, How did he handle it?

With Maturity and the Knowledge that it bears no value (SIN results in Death) to your life
