Changing ur battery anyhow can make ur m3 to malfuntion. It happened to me when i replaced d m3 battery with a fully charged nokia 5c battery but did not switch on the phone. Later wen the m3 battery was fully charged using a desktop charger i placed it in the m3, on the phone and got stuck on the m3 boot screen. I had to perform a factory reset for it to work again.
