The special adviser to the President on political matters, Barr. Ahmed Gulak, has said Nigeria will not disintegrate, but will continue to grow stronger in spite of the myriad of challenges facing it.

Speaking at a break-of-fast organised by the Goodluck Support Group at the Sheraton Hotels and Towers in Abuja on Tuesday, Gulak said that Nigeria fought a civil war and came out of it stronger, saying no test could be greater or worst than that.

Gulak, who is the national coordinator of the group, noted that group was formed in 2010 in order to foster the peace and unity of the country, adding that the essence of the event was for youths to come together to share love, irrespective of religion, tribe or tongue.

He observed that youths were the worst hit in terms of unemployment, illiteracy and violence, and urged them to shun act capable of undermining the peace and unity of the country.

The special adviser said there could never be any meaningful development in the absence of peace, adding that the task of developing Nigeria rested squarely on the shoulders of the youth.

He further urged youths in the country to support the transformation of President Goodluck Jonathan, which he said, was all encompassing to put Nigeria on the fast-track of development.

The break-of-fast was attended by youths drawn from various youth groups across the country.
