Factual information is now pathetic?

Frankly, Henry120's constant lashing out at whomever corrects him is what is pathetic. If he doesnt want to be told he is wrong, he should not offer his opinion.

This should have been an issue that was contained in 2-3 posts.
Him: I think this
Me: Well no, because that
Him: [either] O wow, I didnt know about that [or] I disagree because this,

Instead we get autistic screeching

Derailments are caused by posts that undermine facts and the IQ of forum members. In most cases than not, a non-fact will be posted by a member as a "fact".... Some people (myself included) find it hard to ignore and try to correct those misleading statements THEN arguments start.

A simple apology and admission of lack-of-knowledge from the initial misleading forumer would save everyone the derailment.

My problem is with the stupidity of the South-African response. My post clearly stated "No longer" meaning i am aware that the F-111 is no longer in service or I am aware a US Air Force Fighter-Bomber was in service, but that is no longer the case. Only for me to get a mention that makes absolutely no sense with some smug picture.

...And I'm suppose to say "well done lad?". Unfortunately i can't do that.

*FACE-PALM*

Dude, seriously?

You: The US has no equivalent of the Su35
Me: The US is so advanced they retired their equivalent of the Su35
You: WHAT DID HE MEAN BY THIS?!?!?!

They have moved beyond the need for a "Su35", and hence, retired their "Su35".

Onsbok APC.

This exact vehicle was the first purpose-built armoured personnel carrier to ever be manufactured in sub-Saharan Africa.

It is the second APC type to be built on the continent as a whole, since the Egyptian Walid was the first.

The Onsbok was made in RSA in the late 1960s using parts from the Eland series and based off the Panhard M3. Three were produced but the original prototype (this one) is the only known survivor.

The project was shelved due to the Ratel programme.

Yes, fitted with a conical turret that had a single MG in it. Same as on the Panhard M3.

An original M3 imported from France to serve as the model for this vehicle can still be seen at Lohatla; it has the same ring mounting.

giles14:

Yes, I thought of that. Hence why I wrote the Onsbok was the first purpose-built APC on the continent south of the Sahara. smiley

According to my understanding Red Devil Types A thru D were improvised and built using a preexisting Bedford truck chassis type.

There's nothing wrong with that; indeed, what the Biafran engineers were able to do under sanctions and during wartime with such little resources is commendable.

But the Red Devils weren't purpose built APCs like the Walid and the Onsbok.

Where did i picked side? I cautioned both Gentlemen and didn't spare anyone out of the mention.
3 people quoted me and gave sensible arguments to buttress their earlier points but, it is quite obvious and conspicous that a fellow here is lacking in Comprehension....same way he was misinterpreting me the other day.

If my comment(s) is/are giving you seizure(s), why can't you just pass over it and pretend you didn't see it? Bad belle dey kill bro and im dey kill fast and SILENTLY.

I wanted to overlooked this like before but, constant, consistent and steady show of aggression(s) and attack(s) compelled me to replied the cladtrap you just posted.

On a normal day, i would have ignore the gibberish but i just have to make sure you stay out of my circumference for your own good and for the Sanity of the thread.

If you claimed you possessed "vast" DefSec knowledge and you are armed with an arsenal of Defense related know-how, please kindly shove that down your throat Buddy.

Being an old member of the thread doesn't equate Intelligence and superiority. Shey you feel me Friend
I'm not even claiming to be a pro in this, i'm quite a novice, not even in the military (the owner of this account is) and i'm JUST an enthusiast.

Everyone is aware i'm not aggressive to anyone here, i'm just for the sanity of the thread, but where someone who's full of himself thinks he can control or censor what i say here and i kept on ignoring such, there's going to be a time of recompense so that False doesn't become Truth.
