@jteku and tdayo Very likely so However, I've enlarged that specific area repeatedly and couldn't see any familiar numeral. You'll also notice punctuation marks underneath the figures, so not likely English language. Anyway, what do I know, I rest the matter. jteku: |

nemesis4u: As I have said before, in order for an NK ballistic missile to strike its target it has to (assuming launch deep in NK at an Asian target): 1. Pass through THAAD just after take-off (high atmosphere) on the Korean Peninsular 2. Pass through AEGIS mid-flight (upper stratosphere) 3. Pass through THAAD in Japan/Guam on the way down (high atmosphere) 4. Pass through Patriot in the terminal phase Note: this is excluding American Strategic Defence Initiative (ie: Star-wars) defenses as well as their Ground-Based Midcourse Defense* (GMD) defenses *Ground-Based Interceptor is basically a missile tipped with the "exoatmospheric kill vehicle", basically a big rocket shoots a small rocket into space, once there it fires its engine and intercepts its target at a speed of 22,000 miles per hour. The Americans have ~30 based in Alaska. 1 Like |

off topic :China province near North Korea warns about the dangers of nuclear war A provincial state newspaper on China’s border with North Korea spooked a few people Wednesday by dedicating an entire page to advice for local residents on how they might survive a nuclear war. The advisory, by the official Jilin Daily, was picked up by many online news services and circulated widely on Chinese social media, forcing the paper and other state media outlets to hurriedly issue statements trying to calm people down. The full-page advisory, entitled “General Knowledge about Nuclear Weapons and Protection,” included cartoons reminiscent of the rather hopeful public service announcements in 1950s America advising children to “duck and cover” to survive a nuclear attack. Yet it also marked one of the first times that official China has talked seriously about the threat of a nuclear war. The cartoons suggest people close their doors and windows if they can’t reach an air raid shelter, and hide under a table or bed in the corner of a room. Other advice: If a bomb goes off when you are near a river, pond or lake — jump in it. If you do go outside after an explosion, wear a mask and protective clothing, wash exposed parts of your body and scrub your boots. Contaminated clothing should be firmly shaken clean and hung on a tree, and your ears should be thoroughly cleaned. (See this blog for a closer look at those cartoons). The Jilin Provincial People’s Air Defense Office later told Chinese media it was responsible for the advisory, saying it aimed to strengthen “national defense education” and explaining that many countries issue such advice through the media. The outside world should not overinterpret it, Xu Yucheng, deputy director of the air defense office, told Beijing News. Indeed, residents of Japan’s northwest coast this year have been ordered to take part in air raid drills, and sirens sounded in northern Japan when a North Korean missile sailed over the country in August https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/worldviews/wp/2017/12/06/china-province-suggests-closing-doors-and-covering-mouths-in-case-of-nuclear-attack/?utm_term=.46c0cb040742 |

He further added that the association would hold another tournament in the month of December whereby the 1st and 2nd teams will compete to come up with the overall winner while the best boxers from all the teams will also battle it out to come up with the national champion. Citing irresponsibility among some officials, the president assured all officials, referees and boxers that stringent measures would be taken to ensure that there were no favours in match officiating and promised dire consequences to all those who would be found indulging in either corrupt activities or favouring boxers during match officiating. Kameta commended all the teams that participated in this year’s tournament that was sponsored by Sportpesa and urged all team managers and coaches to ensure that they tapped and nurtured young talents in the society and made boxing a competitive sport that can be used as income generating sport. R.I.P. to the 15 UN peacekeepers and 5 Congo troops killed this week in D.R.C. as rebels overran their base, 50 troops also wounded. UN gave excuse that all UN helicopter gunships have limited night combat capability and so did not fly in darkness to save the UN base in a whole four hour night long attack!!!!!!!!!!! Stupiiiid continent of poor equipment. See nonsensical old fashioned rustily rustic armoured battle vehicles that we use in Congo. Biggest shame. D.R.C. has the best and biggest mineral resources mix in the world. Most military generals in this Africa are useless, if those fools look at this thread's photos they will see what their countries' defence budgets can afford to buy and use to save lives of soldiers in our bases.
