On the last pic, That's not a regular camp, They are known as "Long Range Surveillance Unit" , Sometimes they work with millitary intelligence guys in smaller units.They are expected to go deep into enemy lines,
and disappear for days or even weeks at times. ........ observee and report back to HQ and avoid contact with the enemy or even the local population at all times, as long as possible ..

So because of the nature of their roles, they require a higher level of personal Security PERSEC than regular units.



Basically they do the work of UAV drones but from the ground.

LRSU is fully part of DMI (Not sometimes) and does not fall under 30th. Therefore 3 units use the Scar... 30th SF, RSF and LRSU. LRSU are trained by the Czech 601 SF and are different from the 30th.

That's an abstract way of looking at it ... Its like looking at a sniper unit and saying snipping is one of the roles of special ops unit .... That would be true but a specific unit called sniper unit would abviously be more 'specialized' in sniping.

The 30th specOps , the LRS unit, 40th ranger strike force and the 20th parachute batallion all wear green berets and together all fall under SOR ... The LRS members are picked from the various specOps units but they do get further specific training specific for that role.
