SIGHHHH..... I've tried to post smth twice on long standing reasons for the endless wars in the Caucasus but I suspect filters are blocking me.
Pls Google Caucasus wars to see the wider picture. Starting in the early 1800s they variously involved all the Indig people, Russians, Iranians, Greeks and even Germans! There was endless conflicts, insurgencies, civil wars and true genocides for generations. It seems the Caucasus people NEVER went 5 yrs without fighting.
A total of 10 mn died between then and this latest outbreak. Imo the usual factors for war eg, possession of gold, oil, uranium etc, etc aren't at play and it could be a specific socio cultural subset of behaviours or smth encoded in their DNA.

First of all let me say this: Russians are not brainwashed they are very well taught not to trust everyone even state propaganda. The Nazi narrative was put out to justify any actions on Ukrainian soil under the ideology of Eurasianism which became popular again by Alexander Dugin (a close friend of Putin). Russian Vice-President Medvedev said last week he believes Russia is taking first step in Ukraine "to create a free Eurasia from Lisbon to Vladivostok."
Similar to Medvedev, a comment by the state news agency Ria Novosti on Sunday questioned the right of Ukraine and Ukrainians to exist as a people. The author called for generational re-education under Russian control. "Denazification will inevitably mean de-Ukrainization," it said.

This war is about the extermination of Ukraine and Ukrainians - if this is not fascism, what then?

There are always multiple sides to a story. It is important that people are presented with all sides of a story, and are allowed to make whatever conclusions they see fit.

I could not careless if the Russians and Ukrainians kill themselves, both have shown to be incredibly racist.

It is however important to show why they are killing themselves, and not just through a Western perspective only. It's basic common sense.

KDF gets another Level 4 Hospital (105 Bed capacity) this time at the School of Infantry in Isiolo. Isiolo is 200km from Nairobi on your to Garissa and Somalia.

“The facility before us will provide Level 4 specialized services including surgical, internal medicine, obstetric/gynecological services, pediatric services and critical care to service members and their families within this region,” the President said.

President Uhuru further added that the healthcare reforms for the disciplined forces were in tandem with his Administration’s Big Four Agenda on the Universal Health Coverage (UHC); which has concurrently witnessed improvements in the facilities and services offered to the civilian population.

“A grateful nation bows in supplication for your unflinching service, duty, and honour to your country and to our flag. May this facility be a symbol of strength and endurance, and, indeed, of the sacrifices made by so many for the country they so deeply cherish,” concluded the C-in-C.

Speaking during the ocassion, Cabinet Secretary for Defence Hon. Eugene Wamalwa said IRH will contribute immensley to healthcare access, not only to the military but also, to the retired military personnel and their families through the Defence Forces Medical Insurance Scheme.

“IRH has been staffed with highly skilled staff and furnished with state-of-the-art equipment for diagnosis and treatment that has no match in the region,” said the CS.

Chief of the Defence Forces (CDF) General Robert Kibochi thanked the President for the Government’s continued investment in the military saying KDF’s operational capabilities had improved significantly in recent years.

General Kibochi noted that the inauguration of the facility is a great milestone to the KDF fraternity’ welfare since the facilities are very crucial in providing medical support to both KDF and their dependants, thus reducing the time taken and resources used to travel to Nairobi, as was the case previously.

Fyi, the Rooikat 105 was one of the top rated AFVs globally - I can't find the link but it crushed the Stryker and others according to the US commentator with army experience. Are they still in production ?

Philippines Air Force inducts first 2 units of 6 ordered T-129 Atak Helicopters.

The Nigerian Air Force has been a long time admirer of the T-129 Attack Helicopter. With the service poised to procure 6 x units in 2015.

The Nigerian military, Army and Air Force are still in the market with hopes of procuring new Attack helicopters, but there seems to be a significant slow down to these procurement activities.

Plan to purchase M-346FA fighters has also slowed, we have not also seen any indication that the Nigerian Air Force will order additional JF-17s.

The Russia/Ukraine war is also not helping matters, maintenance of MI-35M helicopters and the upgrade of 3 x MI-35P variants to the latest upgrade package would almost likely be stalled also.

This situation presents a major challenge for Nigeria, time will tell how we respond to these significant draw backs.
