There I was doing 140km/hr on the M3 motorway, when an Audi RS GT appeared, passed and disappeared in what seemed like a blink.
Something felt odd. Only later did I realise the customary roar was missing; there was complete silence. It was the fully electric Audi RS e-tron GT.

It brought to mind the Rooikat CVED (Combat Vehicle Electric Drive). Imagine the possibilities when the tech matures.

These jets are long due for a replacement. Practically junk at least the j17 have aesa, j10 even better
F 5 is still a highly capable and reliable aircraft. Some upgrades have been done over the years.

Might you have any details on the upgrades? If they still have analog cockpits then it would be best to retire all of them, save fuel-money, and buy a lot of transport helicopters.

African countries would be better off with UAVs than fighter aircraft because they cost less and would be more useful in a conflict against a peer state. Only N African countries can afford enough munitions to sustain a war for about 2 months

The Rooikat CVED could actually enter enemy territory, recon and leave in complete silence... In fact, if the enemy does not have long-range thermal optics and ground radar (typically most African countries), no one would ever know it was even there. If you spot one, try cathing it doing 140km.. It would clear targets with it's stabilised gun without stopping along the way.

That's some old-school engineering right there.

Well, it is tech from the late '90s (we produced a working prototype in 2006, I think?) so it is not completely silent, and the battery capacity is nothing like today's electric vehicles.

I'm yet to see a 28ton EV in motion.

It is beyond st1pid grin

IA geniasses believe war will be short less than 15 days , well their ass, their choice grin

Anyways without seperate budget of billions of dollars for war wastage reserves , not possible to maintain the stocks at that level

Imo only US China Russia will have that kind of war wastage reserves or any country with a strong MIC and a strong economy

Are you from the DRC?

Just asking for curiosity sake.

No, from Czech Republic, but I'm interested in armies from around the world. And Africa has some of the most interesting ones, though little is known about some.

Ok, great!

Military equipment from the DRC is very difficult to find. Apart from Nigeria, Egypt, Algeria, South Africa, Tunisia, Morocco, maybe Kenya, it's difficult to get military photos of other African countries.

Military photos from the DRC is particularly difficult to find.

Power & Prestige | NNS KADA In South Africa

Showing the Southies what it actually means to have a Blue Water Navy that can put out to sea, project power to distant lands and achieve national and regional objectives by military diplomacy or force of arms. Not the SAN moribund in port with fancy toys that can't swim. Next on the interim shopping list are Light Frigates, A Flagship and one more LST.

Green water Navy to be specific.

Yes, I know, it's similar case with Zimbabwe and Angola, maybe other countries too but I haven't yet been interested in them that much. I was able to find decent amount of Angolan military vehicles, but DRC and Zimbabwe are particularly difficult.

Anyway, that's the reason why I'm asking here, since there might be people who might have some interesting pictures I wasn't able to come across due to language and regional barrier.

Wow! The EVs I've tried REALLY haven't impressed me,to put it mildly. Good to see the tech is maturing. IIRC, one of the departed Saffas stated heat emissions would be the killer of Armoured CVEDs.

NN| A New Era of Gun Boat Diplomacy

Really,nigga!

Aside from military conquest, gunboat diplomacy was the dominant way to establish new trade partners, colonial outposts, and expansion of empire.

I'll look for some and ask around, but 601st is very secretive, since you know, they are SOF. Even we, Czechs, get to see them very rarely and our MOD rarely ever publishes any pictures of 601st to my knowledge. But I'll try my best

Please List the escort fleet and their capabilities. Especially how they're going to pass through 3 submarines and 4 frigates.
