in the catholic church here in Nigeria, if you are not a married in church, you cant recieve communion. And if you a polygamy, you cant wed in church. This means if you are a polygamy, communion isnt for you!

But what about those families that were polygamous before becoming better christians? These polygamous homes have stayed together for over 30 years and there has been no problem. All children and grandchildren are catholics. The parents are exempted from communion becos they are a polygamy. Asked how they can start recieving communion, they were told that one of the wives would have to go.

Is this ok? What about the sociological implications? Is there any theological or bliblical base for anti polygamy to begin with?
