Dewze: Hi guys. I got some hint on a forum that I can browse and download unlimited on my pc, with any etisalat BIS plan, if I do it via my phone, usb, and a blackberry desktop manager.

I did try it with a N100/daily BIS plan. I did the setup (with APN etisalat blackberry Nigeria:8080). It worked very fine. Though after I had managed to watch (not download) just three youtube videos, etisalat cut me off. Now I can't browse anymore and I'm being told to recharge. I've not even spent up to an hour yet.

I just would like to know if the N100/daily is realy unlimited or is it just the N1000/monthly and above tht is unlimited. was it because I used it on my pc rather than on my phone or I did not get the setting right?

Pls any one with a knowledge of how these things work shld help with some bit of insight. Thanks a lot.

Jfactor: OGA PHYSISE, AIRTEL N1500 FOR 2GIGS AND ETISALAT N1000 FOR 3GIGS. WHICH ONE BETA? what is ETISALAT SETTING FOR PC WT MODEM on non-bb device?

Jfactor: tnks. oga physise. i mean airtel (2 gigs) and etisalat (3 gigs), which is BEST for PC. in my area, etisalat is STRONG while airtel is very very weak sometim days not working. pls wat is etisalat default setting or if bis setting? drop it. tnks once oga physise. God bless. pls reply

I did try etisalat BIS on my pc and it worked fine. I don't know about using a generic modem though.

If you have the blackberry desktop manager on your system all u need do is connect ur phone (already with an active BIS plan) to ur pc via a usb cord. Go to tools on ur manager and click internet settings. Add ETISALAT BLACKBERRY NIGERIA as your profile name, blackberry.net:8080 as ur APN and click ok. That's it.

Click connect to internet (usualy on the lower left corner) and start browsing.

dasdexter: dude d 100 bis which is d daily plan is capped @ 50mb, so u probably finished it, & d 1000 bis monthly plan is capped @ 3gig, is only mtn bis dat is truly unlimited

is mtn BIS 'realy' unlimited? Cos man! I'm dead scared of mtn. My browsing experience with them has not been nice at all. Sometimes I activate to browse with a simple surf plan, they collect my money but I'm nt able to browse.

These days I dial 181 and there is no option to talk to mtn customer service.

I use glo blackberry complete plan to browse on my pc and the data cap is 3GB and the download speed is fast here in my area at ikorodu. I get a download speed of 300KB-500KB when downloading on 3g and 20KB-30KB when downloading on edge. The price is also 1000 naira and I heard they have reduced the price of the blackberry complete plan to 900 naira now while the BIS plan is now 1000 naira.
