YOU.... are such a complete, "overblown" M.O.R.O.N! 1.) Oprah NEVER said Switzerland was racist! 2.) The incident happened in "a STORE located" ......in Switzerland. 3.) Oprah tried as much as possible, to isolate/protect the name, of the store where the incident happened. 4.) Unfortunately, since it was not pre-planned, Oprah did "slip-up" initially, with the name of the country (Switzerland) where the store was located. (No brainer, l guess a m.o.r.o.n like you would suggest she should have said it happened in the U.S. when everyone knew Tina Turner's wedding, which brought Oprah around and she attended, took place in Switzerland and there is no way she would actually have been able to hide the country's name) 5.) Even at that, as a very responsible icon, Oprah knows the "power of her own endorsement or otherwise" of any 'product, label or country'..... and thus her apology for mentioning "Switzerland" (rightly so) in an event that "could" generate negative publicity for the country. The "country" (Switzerland) was not responsible for the action of that individual, sales-person. End of story! Finally, as "intelligent people" have noted, Switzerland APOLOGIZED, the owner of the Shop APOLOGIZED to Oprah FIRST! If "YOU" have issues with the black race (you're probably one of those "lost souls who dont know their real identity"! ), be bold enough to state "your issues" so we can recommend a PSYCHIATRIST for you! No. No Sir, her apology was to "Switzerland as a country" ... for mentioning their name (as where the Shop was located) in the report/recounting of the incident! Apology was not for "the event itself". The country apologized to Oprah FIRST..........for the incident HAPPENING within the shores of their country. The OWNER of the shop then apologized to Oprah ... for the shocking experience (Black Card Holder!  )But is a show of maturity, magnanimity and support (not for racism mind you), Oprah APOLOGIZED to the SWITZERLAND (since it was not her intention to inadvertently give them a bad image, incase others dont realize that it was just one SINGLE PERSON she has an issue with, the Sales-person in attendance at that shop, ... not even the Shop itself as a business!) ...and the Owner of the Shop since some people were able to "dig-up" the name of the Shop and such negative publicity is not good for their business. I respect what Oprah did (l am NOT a fan of her anyways) as most Billionaires in her category would be too proud and egoistic, to apologize....even when she knew she was the VICTIM! Far above there was the 35,000 Swiss franccrocodile leather bag. ‘I simply told her that it was like the one I held in my hand, only much more expensive, and that I could show her similar bags.
