To Chairman,
To Afam,
To Rookie,

As events of the past many days revealed, there are hard defined barriers that delineates Yoruba from Igbo. Your spent effort to create a virtual united Nigeria is not producing desirable result and is in the way of our political interest here in Nairaland. Integration of cultural and philosophical differences between Yoruba and Igbo will find success on the ground first before any meaningful online model of unity can be founded. Assaults and counter assaults at state leadership level and involving different vocal points representing ethnic sentiments are not new and until we go back to Federalism or a pre1890 existence, we must expect these exchanges to continue as part and parcel of our political culture. What we've been reading in the news media sound no different than a ethnic face off between Yoruba and Igbo in Nairaland, but without hidden posts and bans, does it not?

Who is banning Orji Kalu? In here, FFK would have had half or more of his published views hidden. Each is defending the core of his spirit and who he is as a human. No spirit of pride is greater than that displayed by a man when he rises in allegiance to defend and proclaim the glory of his fatherland. Therefore it is immoral and anti-patriotic for the leaders of Nairaland to compel allegiance on us and dictate rules and enforcement of interaction under such strict structure which encourages National pride as substitute and preferred patriotism in contrast to ethnic spirit and pride.

Nigeria is a surrogate fatherland. Yoruba knows where its father's house is and we are unwilling to substitute surrogate for a father.

Until the various ethnic groups themselves adopt nationalism and the possessivenes of ethnicity is merged and conciled into a broader landscape beyond the native land, Nairaland ought to be nothing more than a facilitator for people to bring their realities online for sharing.

I hereby urge the moderators to review your operational process here and relax the on the restrictions.

From your one and only,
Chief Negro Nations (A.o.OFR) grin

The Yorubas are poking their fingers into our eyes, true. But my Igbo brothers are assaultive and stupid.
