They did the right thing. And it's well within the right of the people to be entitled to such compensation.
Their service these past few days has been abysmally atrocious to say te least.

Its total rubbish! Do u call that compensation. Now listen: since mtn has put a data cap on every single plan it means u still can't use more than the limit of the cap. Why did they not add data value as compensation if they were sincere. Means If ur subscription was on fair usage threshold before the disruption, the compensation doesn't have any impact on ur sub. Foolish stingy network!
