Why bring the Bini's into this?

If Bini's want to claim the Oba of Lagos crown as theirs, then the Oba of Benin's crown also belongs to Ile Ife, period.

Anyway, enough of this back and forth about Lagos, it's the "Stalingrad" of every nazi non-Yoruba that wants to claim it.

Let's move to regional integration and how to make Yorubaland great.

Ashipa is also a title in Oyo.

Both Oyo and Bini knows they are brothers, that's why there was no friction between the two throughout the ages. There are even buffer kingdoms between the two so that there would not be fight between the two powers, for example Akure was independent of both, Shagamu was under Oyo, Ijebu Ode and ikorodu were independent while epe was under benin, lagos came under benin, while ajase was under Oyo but badagry was independent.

Moral of story...Benin too is part of Odualand.

I'm miffed at the thinking maturity of the average Nigerian especially on this forum. You won't catch me making statements like "Lagos is a no man's land" as i have no interest in the city in any way. I only live here as a Nigeria who has been mandated by the constitution to do so. I also believe that people who use that phrase are not referring to the cultural but the social and legal idiosyncrasies of Lagos. Even a blind man knows that Yorubas are indigenous to Lagos and not Igbos or Hausas.

making a maradona out of this issue, the guy made a political statement that infringed upon cultural heritage.
in uk they'll say we have your records at the home office.
