Personally, I think Wale is underrated, perhaps because of his rhythm like you pointed out but his lyrics and content are always on point. He's like a poet!

Kendrick Lemar is a genius, I literally watched him grow from K.Dot with Jay Rock, to Kendrick Lemar.

As for J. Cole, he's to sleek and intelligent for most of these new rappers...and he produces as well.

I like Drizzy, he just sings too much like Ja Rule and Nelly used to do. But he gets serious about rapping, Drake can definitely rap. I think I kind of put him and Asap Rocky in the same box - guys who can rap, but like the watered-down stuff most of the time. Btw, I'm a big fan of Asap Rocky - I've always loved everything Harlem from the Harlem World days, to G-dep and black rob, and subsequently Dipset.
