I do not in the least begrudge his scholarship. I'm just concerned about the signal that might send to other teenagers when they see that a 'wayward' child is being rewarded. Be pragmatic.

We should be careful about the signals we send by our actions especially in issues like this involving impressionable young people.
Is the action the little boy took commendable? Answer is No!
Is it worthy of emulation? Answer is No!!
Will it be good if other young kids do same? Answer is No!!!
To me it seems bad behaviour is being rewarded instead of being reprimanded. I am a bit confused with this scenario as I was taught to reward good behaviour and punish bad behaviour.
In saner climes a lot of people will be in deep trouble for this act of truancy and dereliction of duty, even the guys parent or guardians.

Blame it on the road safety LOLZ back to the topic. in my own opinion the air operator should be blamed cos I see no reason for their negligence. if he was a suicide bomber that's another calamity entirely. Mr O P u can't do anything about his scholarship that's how God destine it to be. I guess if u had the opportunity at his age you will do worse

With this daredevil move of this young chap, many NIgerians and NGO's will begin to see that children of today are no longer what they used to be, and if care is not taken, the country is headin for a total collapse.

If an organisation could help/sponsor this boy, then some other person can still help other kids in their area/locality with scholarship or any support programme, and before u know it, the govt would realize that they are no longer needed, and we will be the ones savin NIgeria, startin from that little child u see everyday on the road hawkin.

Stop being sentimental. Those two analogy do not corellate with each other. A child that throws sachet water at a convoy of the presidency has comitted a crime. He has purpoted in his heart to hurt. It is a sheer act of wickedness.

In this case, Daniel is only fulfilling his adventure. He wasn't caught with any ammunitions. He didn't hurt anybody. He didn't pose any threat to the passengers of the plane, in fact, they never knew he was aboard. See the difference yet
