Discussion were held behind closed doors and indication of his intent to switch to PDM and get a 2014 Guber ticket on time to be on the ballot for the up coming polls .
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Movement has saluted what it described as the bravery and statesmanship of the dissenting delegates of the PDP.

As long as he will win, then am happy to see a progressive folk becoming the governor of anambra. Either Soludo or Ngige.

Down with the useless Obi, Umeh and Jonathan.

There is nothing like desperate for power here, he didn't lose primaries, he was disqualified on flimsy excuse which is all politics and tell me any Nigerian politician that is not a political prostitute apart from obasanjo.

Nigerian especially anambra politics can turn u to anything. Imagine tony nwoye who andy ubah knew when he was picked up from campus union president, who use to call him sir, no the governorship candidate while he andy uba a serving senator is suspended.

Imagine soludo a popular demand and former CBN goveernor disqualified for a banker who has no exceptional qualities to become the apga candidate.

Let him join whatever party he feels will give him a ticket. He has the right and anambra pple deserve an exceptional leader with exceptional qualities.

FreeGlobe: Anambra election: Atiku Vs Obasanjo Vs Tinubu Vs Peter Obi Vs GEJ

But why is this playing out so heavily in Anambra?

Is the state that important or strategic?

All Anambraians need is a capable and visionary leader and not all of this external god father bulls**t.

My vote remains with Soludo regardless of which party he joins.

Zik like many African rulers had a major character and integrity problem. At the root was his self-concept or self definition(the way one sees oneself). He saw himself in his own words as a "Beautiful Bride" for the highest bidder as well as indispensable. The former executive president of Nigeria Alhaji Shehu Shagari, a mild mannered man captured it well when he told Zik during the 1979 election campaign: "when you switch husbands one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight times, you are no longer a beautiful bride but a harlot." Zik was a weather vane-go where the favorable wind blows. A "Beautiful Bride" mindset is exactly the opposite of the leadership mindset. In 1954, the Sutton-Foster Inquiry found Zik's conduct below what was expected of an honest and honorable person. He also has Black neocolonial/elitist mentality like many African rulers and political class

interesting development.
Re: Soludo Joins PDM (Peoples Democratic Movement) by Nobody: 10:14pm On Sep 01, 2013
The future is pregnant with possibilities wink

They can’t stop laughing: One day after the breakaway, Soludo visits Atiku in Abuja (Photos)

When the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) disqualified Charles Soludo, the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and stopped his bid to contest the November 2013 election in the state, there were speculations that this was done because of Soludo’s alleged closeness to Nigeria’s former vice president, Atiku Abubakar.

Anambra is a crucial state in the South East, and according to the speculations, President Jonathan who is very close to Anambra governor, Peter Obi, could not afford to allow the state fall into the hand of an Atiku ally. Soludo was economic adviser to the Atiku 2011 campaign.

Today in Abuja, just 24 hours after a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party led by Atiku Abubakar and seven PDP governors staged a walkout from the party’s national convention at the Eagles Square in Abuja, Soludo paid Atiku a visit at the latter’s Abuja residence.

And the men couldn’t stop laughing. Interesting times indeed!

Nice one Soludo!

Election is just about two months away...yet the man is coming onboard with a new political party that is virtually non-existent at the moment in Anambra or anywhere whatsoever.

I don't know the miracle he will perform...without a well - grounded political machinery that is well oiled....all his alleged popularity and mass appeal will come to nothing.

The same people that ensured that he was denied the ticket both in PDP and APGA are still much interested in denying him the governorship on any platform he contest ..

^^^That's fair enough; but the final say resides with the people and not some greedy selfish group of self-appointed godfathers!

If the Anambra electorate reject him on the day, that's fine with me.
