OPTIONS FOR 'NEW PDP'S’ G7 FACTION.

As a political scientist ***yes, I have my degree to show for it***, I do know for a fact that politics is a very dirty game on both sides i.e. the protagonists and antagonists. It's like entering a ‘suck-away’ with the intention of cleaning it up; there's no way you won't come out smelling like ‘shit’.

The new PDP's G-7 faction led by former vice president Atiku Abubakar 'messed up' big time in my own humble opinion. As a matter of fact all the PDP governors that openly revealed their opposition towards President Goodluck Jonathan's perceived second term agenda made a ridiculous error.

How do you expose your intentions and arsenal to a 'powerful enemy' many months before the actual battle? After you've done that, do you expect your powerful enemy to seat back and eat ‘kuli kuli’ while you keep planning for his downfall? Mba nu!

OPTIONS FOR ATIKU'S G7 NEW PDP

1. Kiss and Make up: Approach PDP chairman Bamanga Tukur and President Goodluck Jonathan, apologise for the unfortunate events and declare your unreserved loyalty to the President and the party.

2. Join APC and hope that its Tinubu/Buhari leadership will accept these ex PDP bunch with open arms and work hard to dislodge the PDP in 2015. But remember, Nigerians will want to know why APC is filled with Ex-PDP members that contributed to the alleged misrule of Nigeria for the past 14 years.

3. PDM: Totally embrace PDM and commence mass mobilization of supporters all across the country; who knows, they might win a sizeable number of converts. Groom young Turks and sell them to Nigerians as authentic new breed of leaders.

4. Retire from Politics in 2015, open up big commercial farms and contribute to Nigeria's Agricultural transformation. #thatsall

I really like the third and fourth options, just saying.

The man and his click of Govs are very foolish indeed, very childish. How can you declare a faction that you cannot register, the election of Bamanga Tuko who is Chairman is not in contention and you are declaring another Chairman. They deliberately want to kill the party haven registered PDM but they have failed big time. PDP, PDM and APC are all the same criminals struggling to outdo each other.

And what about Option 5 - constitute a fifth column and undermine the party's framework of 'integrity' from within?

One of the rebel Governors who spoke to Daily Independent from Abuja on Sunday said, “Pulling out of PDP at this stage would be a strategic blunder.”

“If we leave, the rump of the party can quickly rally round and fight back. The idea is to stay behind and fight so that the party will be further weakened so that by the time we finally leave, what is left of the PDP and its leadership will no longer have the capacity for further mischief.

“Part of the strategy is to get the states whose delegates were disqualified to challenge the outcome of the mini-convention in court and seek annulment.

“The plan is to get favourable judgement which may bar the PDP from even presenting a Presidential candidate in 2015. It is possible and this can only be done from within PDP, not outside. When you join another party, you no longer have a locus for such litigation.

“Secondly, we now have the majority in the National Assembly and we don’t want any distraction by people calling for their resignation before joining a new party. When the time comes, we will move and Nigerians will know that something fundamental has happened. The idea for now is to redefine PDP.

“We are redefining the party for now, not abandoning it. When the time for abandonment comes, Nigerians will know,” the source added.

well, dnt be confused.

First, dnt get this twisted, third to comment is a very bad thing!

Second: the word is 'soak-away' not suck away! grin

Third: u indeed claimed u agree that politics is a dirty game, yet, u concentrated ur thesis on the assumption that these new factions were really interested in votin and veing for a seat of power. When in a more intelligent aspect, it is a cospiracy to make PDP loose more votes in the north!

Have u asked urself why a new party was formed up east too?

U think the northern governors will really allow Jonathan to run successfully again?

Think abt this:

People who bilivd atiku has no followers up north are novice!

And people shld undstnd dt any state govt can successfully buy an election! Be it presidential of a guber!

So, wise up! Ok?
