The penis of a man identified only as James was cut off by gang members for allegedly having a relationship with the head of the cult.
James, a married man and final year student of Gbewaa College of Education in in Ghana, was attacked on campus on Friday August 23, 2013 in broad day light.
The attackers reportedly ambushed the victim, overpowered him and severed off his penis after confronting him about dating their colleague’sgirlfriend named Comfort.
Police in have arrested a young man in connection with the alleged crime, with the four other accomplices are on the run. Comfort is also in the custody of the Police helping with investigations.
James is currently receiving treatment at the Akonye Memorial Hospital, Accra. A Police Officer, Adamu Seidu whoconfirmed the incident to us said James’ penis was completely severed off with a knife.
