SYRIA: A POINT TO NOTE
Russia, China and Iran have no qualms over
who gased the innocent people of Syria. Their
only concern is that Assad should not go for a
more democratic regime.
The piece is not about Western hypocrisy or
Arab ineptitude and stupidity. It is about what
Allah told us about non-Muslims; that they are
not the same. Allah said:
(You will surely find the most intense of the
people in animosity toward the believers [to
be] the Jews and those who associate others
with Allah ; and you will find the nearest of
them in affection to the believers those who
say, "We are Christians." That is because
among them are priests and monks
and because they are not arrogant.) Q 5:82.
The general meaning of a Quranic verse
always overweight the reason for its
revelation, since the later is more speculative
while its general meaning is applicable. When
you consider how the Russians treat the
Muslims in Chechnya, Dagestan and in the
former republic of USSR, how China treats its
Muslim minority, no doubt, the Muslims in
USA, Canada and Europe the western nations
that say “We are Christians” i.e not necessary
so, is much better.
The verse is talking about the relative enmity
and affection. We can them all testify that the
Quran still holds 100% truth to date about
their relative affection, empathy and kindness.
To cap it all, a companion of the prophet –
peace be upon him- on hearing that the hour
will not come until when the Romans (here
the west) will be more in number- an
expression of military superiority, said: they
have four good qualities. Saner in times of
tribulations, more apt to recover after
disasters, faster is re-attacking after
withdrawal in military quest, best to the poor,
orphan and the weak, and the fifth best in
blocking injustice from leaders. Narrated by
Muslims.
As for the Iranians because of their creed that
approves grave-worshipin g and saint-
worshipin g makes them mushrikoon - one
of the stoniest enemies of tauheed and
pristine Islam. Therefore, they don't bother
who is gased so long that their protégé is in
power.
The Egyptian and Palestinian dilemma is
another issue that can be discussed
separately but now we are dealing with the
inhuman gasing of innocent people by one of
the most brutal regime in human history yet
some people are talking of conspiracies that
are only the product of their infantile
imaginations.

Gumi is expressing the political view of Saudi Government, forget all that rant about what Quran said. Saudi has chosen to step out of the fold, by all means, if it keeps democracy away from its soil.
