So the LASTMA suspects were granted bail "after the intervention of the Lagos State Government", why? Why were they granted bail when the offence in question possibly involves murder?

It could have been anybody though. Those official agberos don't pity when their ogogoro don start to work. They could level any offence against you, assault u, extort u and even kill u in dis Lasgidi. God dey.

I was once caught by lastma @ oshodi and all the yoruba trafic offenders paid 2k but i paid 5k. I saw the way they assault danfo drivers using the influence of mobile policemen working hand in hand with the lastma.
A reasonable lagosian will know that the deceased was assaulted but wasn't intentionally killed but trying to sweep this case under the carpet was a wrong move by LSG and that is why the igbo community shouldn't let go until justice is done.

The deportation and babaoloja saga has made the igbo community believe that there is tribalism brewing in Lagos and some of our yoruba brothers and sisters on nairaland are bitter about igbos, people nursing these sick thoughts don't even think before they type.
Imagine if the deceased was your spouse?will you cry and forget it so that murderers will roam freely in lastma uniforms? If those lastma officials should go scot free then the LSG will be guilty of the aftermath .

You guys are getting over yourselves. Even a dead and buried body can be exhumed and autopsy performed on it. Why not wait for the result of the autopsy before jumping into conclusions.

Honestly, its painful. But if we really want justice for the dead, we shouldn't be lazy to investigate and quick to assume and conclude just from where we sit. I think more people need to be arrested and questioned especially the IPO. lets look the other way. it was said in the report that he was eating at a nearby canteen when he was told his vehicle is being towed. why hasn't anybody suspected the food he ate last? in autopsies, the last food the deceased ate is a vital clue.

While i strongly wish and ask for the LASTMA excesses be curbed, it still believe in fair hearing and justice. if he didn't park his vehicle wrongly, it wont be towed and once those guys get the towing vehicle out for a purpose, the vehicle must be towed and reported. definitely the owner of the vehicle will come out in the process but its not enough NOT to have the vehicle towed.

Everyone concerned should insist on autopsy. Autopsy can still be carried out on a decomposed body. It may only take advanced technology. the hair and many un-decomposed parts of the body can give evidence of cause of death.

please be objective. the story is sad on its own, dont make it worse. was the vehicle towed because it is owned by an igbo man?
