This isn't for Atheists: "So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!" (Luke 11:9-13). Notice to whom this is directed. God is not our Father until we are born into His family. See John 3 for details. Until that time we are "Enemies of God in our minds through wicked works." Beretta92: Listen to what your fellow atheist said and the response he got: David Estes Said: "Is God doing everything He can to save us from Hell? Or is He doing less than He could?" Ray Answers: A judge has no obligation to "do" anything to save a devious criminal from justice. The only responsibility he has is to see that justice is carried out to the full. However, the Bible says that mercy rejoices over judgment. In other words God is rich in mercy and offers us a complete trial dismissal, upon our repentance and faith in Jesus. |
