As it was promised and boiling up in the news since last few days about Arsenal monitoring a few free agents the news have finally come true with Arsenal snapping up their 4th signing of the summer in Semi Ajayi who is a young defender. After a successful trial period Arsenal have gathered his resources once he was released by Charlton.
The 19-year-old, who was available on a free transfer after leaving Charlton Athletic in the summer, has penned a two-year contract with the Gunners. Nigeria Under-21 international Ajayi, who turned down the offer of a six-month deal at Norwich following a trial at Carrow Road, announced his move on Twitter.
With Arsenal needing backup for their vulnerable and subject to injury defense, Ajayi will certainly have some contribution to make after his development. There is no doubt that the boy has potential as he cleared the trial periods and we all know how good an eye the Frenchman has for talent.
He wrote on his Twitter bio before the move: “Delighted to announce that I have officially signed for Arsenal FC. Can’t wait to see what the next two seasons here have in store for me.”
