hi nairalanders, u r realy doing a gud job here. . something have been bothering my mind since, and i tink is time some1 shed light on it 4 me. . . .i change my fone from a SE K800i to N72( anyway i regreted immediatly, cos n72 is rubbish compare to k800i, bt it can run .sis files: dats something) .anyway, my question is dat, wen i inserted my glo sim, nd it got to d home screen it wil automatically be sending a message, i dont know wot dis mssg is. . .d first time it did, i shouted nd realy try to stop it, bt it didnt, i immediatly check my balance and notin was deducted. . .gosh!!! , i was relieved, bt later i started thinking ''im i save'' . .i noticed it only happen wen i put my glo sim, it doesnt do dat wit mtn n celtel. .is anybody xperiencing dis? and moreso, where is d mssg going and wot is it for? . . .i hope it not to monitor one's movement by d netwrk o; i mean to know one's particular location at d time. . . . .abeg, some1, shed light on it for me. .tanks

Yes yes and yes it does happen on mine and it makes me worried because it is not a good omen in case you don't know this you are be monitored by the networks each base station has a unique code with this they know where you are state local goverment in some cases street address that of Glo is too much it is by force announce your presence if you use certain phones you will know what i mean the location you are currently shows on the screen as if it is a guide this is certainly not gps.

Yeah, but there's a way to prevent that. . . . . Go to your phone settings and set the opti0n in "CONFIRM SIM SERVICE ACTIONS" to 'YES' when u do that, your phone would always ask you before sending such messages . . .then you can choose 'Yes' or 'No' . . .

nothing to worry about bro. same thing always happen on my n80, but i guess it's just a way of registering you sim on network and moreover you have a choice, you can either allow the message to be sent or not. so keep on flexy
