Like seroius, is it really a tough Group? Anyway since is only 4 home base it could be a tough Group. But to me it wouldn't be a hard cracker fr d African champions.
Re: CHAN Draw: Nigeria In Group A by Nobody: 7:32pm On Sep 18, 2013
I think it,ll be tough for the Eagles..our best local defender Oboabona has gone to turkey..
Egwuekwe and possibly Okwuosa playing in south africa could be paired.

Nigeria will need a very good midfield and Sunday Mba might have gone to Europe by the time the tournament starts.i,ll be happy to see him play.

South Africa will be favourites considering the fact that most of their top players are home based coupled with home advantage.

Mali's stade malien is doing well in the continent and that could rub off on their team..

Mozambique could be a force to reckon with..we had problem in the past playing against them by our Super Eagles team A..
I see them in the mould of cape verde or Angola.

Keshi will have to pull the rabbit out of the hat to do well in that tournament without the likes of Oboabona and possibly Mba.

The plus side is the likes of Pillars Gambo and other boys will give their best to secure better contract abroad and to get further call up for Brazil 2014 camping.

They want to change the year cos of the players that play in Europe and world cup. So, instead of it being every 2 years on an odd year, it will now be every two years on an even year. There has to be a year of adjustment and this year is it.

So the next competition should ne 2015 and not 2014 right?

I thought they planned to be conducting AFCON every odd numbered years that's why they conduct it this year, why conducting it next year again? Much ado with nothing!
Re: CHAN Draw: Nigeria In Group A by EzePromoe: 3:21pm On Sep 19, 2013
You guys should not get things twisted.
AFCON is different from CHAN.
AFCON is the competition for all stars home and abroad which holds biannually (the odd one)
CHAN is the competition for the home based stars alone to be held biannually too (the even years).

I think CAF is trying to keep the players of Africa working, instead of sleeping and waking after two years undecided

CHAN is different from AFCON which Nigeria won early this year..

C.H.A.N is organised and competed for by players who are based only in Africa...ie Football players who play in the Nigerian league,South African league etc..
Those outside the continent are excluded..
Players like Mikel Obi of Nigeria,Asamoa Gyan,Chamakh of morocco can not participate.

With the recent performance(s) of this ethiopian boys thus making it to the CHAN is trying to tell us that Nigeria meeting them in world cup play-off, it is a do or die affair. For me Nigeria should take it serious. Thank you.

. Yes u are missin d fact dat Ethiopian, Libyan & Congolese Team A players ar all home based & so will b paradin there best squads. Remember Ethiopia ar in WCQ play-offs & Libya and Congo narrowly finished 2nd in dere respective WCQ grps. Ghana could als present a tough team cos dey have a good league.
