let's talk abt d whole process:

1st it was shl we did.... numerical, verbal and abstract.

2nd it was assessment centre which comprised of 2 parts

a) a group discussion. .. 12 people... where u will b given a topic 2 discuss and com 2 a conclusion on and present 2 a panel of 3.

b) next is a panel interview/presentation where for engineering applicants we were given a plan (diagram) and we were 2 list d components we see in it, list the safety installations and describe d process of producing this structure in real life.... It was a diagram
of a tank farm

3rd it was medicals

4th it was personality/ technical interview
this comprised of 3 parts

a) 1st is a panel of 3 interview wif hr personnel .... dey ask personality questions like tell me abt urself....

b) u'll meet wif an executive. ... For my side I met with a general manager

c) u'll meet wif the technical guys.... This is where u will b working .... line manager tinz...... A diagram/ Plan will b provided like in d ac and u will point out safety installation and d different components of d diagram.... anoda tank farm.

...... dats where we are so far.... updates will b coming soon concerning anoda invite dat has jst come last Friday.

What do you mean by LINE OF BUSINESS?? I thought TOTAL Nig. PLC is into petroleum marketing and lubricants. Is there any other line of business they are into apart from these? Simply put what is their line of business if i may ask

chitexy: They are into downstream(drilling operation and production) and upstream(sales of refined product to end users) section of the business.

Various opportunities in the downstream sector like ( company man, drilling supervisor, Geologist, Safety officer, production engineer, reservoir engineer etc.

next stage was a chat wif the hr director ...... asked normal personality questions..... "tell me abt ur self, tell me abt ur family, y do u want 2 join total nigeria plc, what are u offering total nigeria plc, have u ever been a part of a team, how do u handle conflict, what are u doing currently, ......."
it was sha a 30mins chat.... den u get 2 ask questions if u can.... I asked like 3.

so a week later we got invited via phone call 2 com pick up letters 4 GIS - GRADUATE internship scheme from which dey will pick us 2 join any line of d business we suit for 4 to 6 months.

19 people were called in all departments put 2geda

davide470: First, your definition of Upstream and downstream is way opposite. Total Nigeria Plc is just into downstream sector(sales, marketing, engineering and distribution of refined petroleum products).
