WORLD TOURISM DAY; Experts Call For Peace In Africa by BNLR(m): 8:16pm On Sep 26, 2013
Every 27th September has been set aside to celebrate the fastest growing industry and the largest employer of labour in the world. " WORLD TOURISM DAY"

In the past decade, the industry has been witnessing a drastic setback in Africa due to the consistence terrorism, political unrest and religious crises in the region.

Tourism can only boom when the desired destination is safe to visit, but due to the crises facing the sector, both the international and local tourist traffic has been affected seriously and it seems the world is not concern.

According to Celestine Oni ( 2013 ) he explained that " tourist can only be motivated when the place of interest is safe"

During the annual convention of the bamboo tourism club held in Zimbabwe on the 18th of September, 2013 to showcase the significance of bamboo to tourism, they emphasised on the need for the host community to be re orientated and embrace peace to promote foreign visit and investment, and of which the cultural norms and value should not be neglected.
