ENHANCING THE OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY OF HEALTH CARE WORKERS

INTRODUCTION
This course provides a detailed grounding for those at work in hospital or similar
environments, focusing not only on the basic principles of health and safety, but specifically
those issues within a hospital or similar environment such as Violence and Aggression,
Risk/Incident reporting, Complaints, Accidents and Incidents, Infection Control,
Immunization, HIV/AIDS, Basic Life Support and People Handling.
Health Care Facilities environment are characterized with hazards and risks which must be
communicated to enhance the health & safety of the workers and other related
stakeholders such as patients and visitors

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
