I have observed over time that we dont have enough music blogs promoting gospel and inspirational songs like the secular ones in this country. I wonder why though. Imagine dbanj hits a studio to make a song and we already know and are expecting the song even before it is produced. Such a song even if 'wack' will most likely be a hit whereas on the part of the gospel musicians, we hardly even know they exist talk less of hearing the great songs they put effort into making. This really makes me sad. Why is this?

Why dont you start one ?

Coz the gospel songs of nowadays are just jamboree...wat do I mean: they don't carry d spiritual power and presence of d Holy Spirit with it unlike gospel songs sang in d 70's, 80's and early 90's. Listening to those songs sang in those days do change d atmosphere for me,don't know about u....those were d days spirituality was hot and u can't sing a gospel song just because u want 2 sing....u must have been anointed by God Himself. Today's gospel music are devoid of power and spiritual weight; most I mean. It is not as it used to be again! Then it was like God is coming 2moro with those kind of songs u hear being released!

Sir, search well. There are still gud "so called" gospel songs now, its just dat genres of music has increased and d no. of people doin it av increased too

@OP ,nt sure u ar a really a fan or u've bin folowin 'gospel music' in naija...i cnt count d amount of blogs we av, gospelcentric.net gospelmusicnaija.com xclusivegospel.com praiseworldradio.com etc d issue is dat even xtians ar nt yet embracin it
