I'm telling you! I was really rooting for Hitv to send dstv packing but that suberu guy messed up big time. Increasing tarrifs anyhow, terrorising viewing centres and the likes. Instead of increasing the quality and quantity of programs, he choose to focus on the football aspect alone. The guy goofed no be small.

There should be a way Nigerians can boycott payment of their subscriptions. Some will not hear of it, they depend on this rubbish cable channel as if their lives depend on it. They're the ones giving dstv the free hand to increase tarrifs anyhow.

From what i heard his creditiors wanted to help him reorganise his company when the going was good but he rebuffed all effort to and wanted to continue his 'one-man show' and when the time came to get bank guarantee for the premiership right his creditors backed out and he ;ost the right and they swooped in on him and that was the end of his company and because he built his company on football alone... who does that?

They are now doing this, every year. I got this mail too and it used the word "annual" meaning this will become a yearly practice.

akintun: NBC should learn from d British regulators, and force DSTV to give out some premiership matches at cost price to other cable cariers.

Are those not the eediots that don't know more than to be banning songs in this 21st century. Nigerians are Nigerians problem, when we have dumb useless people occupying regulatory bodies like NBC.

This is like when MTN was charging Nigerians N30000 for ordinary sim-card and to think we have Nigerian Broadcasting corporation(NBC) that cannot use their head to think of what to do in this situation, the only time you hear of them is when they banning wizkid, dbanj's song.

Nwa nne, which side I fit get that.

Yeah, bro! Here in Aba we use either MCL or PBS for N2,100 monthly. MCL gives 38 stations and all EPL games are aired on Aljazera sports. You even get The FA Cup and Capital One Cup which I think is not available on DSTV. I've never seen a DSTV decoder in Aba. I swear!

In Aba, MCL's office is after Abia Poly, while PBS is behind Winners Chapel. Their services are great!
Re: DStv Raises Charges Again. by Nobody: 7:08pm On Oct 05, 2013
dominique: I don't like this one bit. They're not improving their services, all they know is to add more crap channels to justify increase on charges. How many of these channels can one even watch in a day sef? (that's if you're jobless, not to add phcn factor too). I hope someone break their monopoly.
people who can afford dstv and even pay 12 months upfront usually do not have time to watch it. The lucky ones get the weekend to watch it while some of them still have to work weekends.
