Today, I was chating a female colleague who is preparing for her forthcoming wedding ceremony,
She told me she had started pre-marriage counseling at her church.
I got curious and demanded to know the questions being asked during the counseling session by the pastor. she mentioned a question which involves the pastor asking about the couple's sexual history.

Now I don't really get it, why would the pastor demand to know about the couple's bleeping history, would they undergo cleansing / deliverance session prior to the wedding ,
Married folks please help me on this issue

The essence of asking such question and if possible share your experience on pre-marriage counseling

Pre-marriage conselln are based on 1. Church doctrines, 2. Bibilical injunctions and societal/family values.

Some churches playdown on pre-marital sex while others do not. Other times, even churches that wed couple who hv had pre-marital sex insist on the lady not puttn on veil yet others ask cos its strictly unacceptable. Which means, the marriage wd be postponed and the couple-to-be penalised.

Counselln maing teaches u abt being married, and re-orient u on not just being a woman but a wife, mother and role model. Brb
