I really don't think that Ethipia's goal should have stood because the ball did not cross the line. The referee only assumed that since Enyeama's leg was inside the goal, that automatically the ball was in also but not knowing that Enyeama's hand was outside the goal when he caught the ball. 1 Like |

If they had goal line tech, the game would have been tied because Ethiopia clearly scored two goals. |

Let truth be told.first and second seems to be goals.had been that goal-line technology has been installed ,the match would have been another story.well,i can submit that we escaped narrowlly. |

Even if the Ethiopians really scored two goals,in my opinion, the foul on Ahmed Musa in the 76th minute within the 18yard box which should have led to a penalty, but which was ignored, has completely cancelled the first goal scored by Saladin Said. Fair play. 1 Like |

Enyeama should go and sit down!...the goal that counted against Nigeria was a clean goal, it was his denial that made it embarrassing. Nigeria won't go beyond the first round of the world cup with a keeper like Enyeama, Keshi & Co should give the home based keepers a chance enough of the professional shit. Did anyone watch Tunisia vs Cameroun match? The Camerounian keeper is a world class goal keeper. Tunisia would have popped Cameroun 4-0 yesterday if not for the keeper. 1 Like |

Me watch that match with both physical and spiritual eyes ooo. That one cleared by Oboabona wasn't a goal. The one wey bros Enyeama dey cry about na goal. But in all, we win. Win na win. That's the element of luck in every game. That's all that matters now oo. FIFA should not call for a replay of that match ooo because those Ethiopian boys didn't easy! 1 Like |

So, because a goalkeeper had one good game he is now world class? What happens when tomorrow he concedes 3 or 4 goals? Besides, where were you when Enyeama single-handedly stopped Lionel Messi from rubbishing Nigeria at the last World Cup? Guy stop dat kind talk o! |

One wrap a day is ok. BTW, why go for dodgy and useless goals. Aw c'mon! Nigeria scored two clean goals devoid of goal line tech shyte. If you wanna be a winner win big and clearly abeg. For your village na so dem dey score clean goal? (mtcheew). What denial from Enyeama are you talikng about. Na wa o for some antagonists. |

Kingmojo: If they had goal line tech, the game would have been tied because Ethiopia clearly scored two goals.First of all, it was not a goal. Bone the camera view. Secondly, had it been allowed, they will not see a second. It would have ended 1-3 in our favour. Case dismissed. |

Now, honestly, both were clear goals. Nigeria was just lucky about the one Oboabona cleared out of the box. |

Enyeama should clean his eyes very well when watching the video is agitating for. Both na goal At a point of no return, when best team keepers start fuccking up, usually that marks their ends. Enyeama doesn't want to agree in hidden place now until it becomes openly. He should ask from Barthez (France), Rufai (Nigeria), Seaman (England), Schmeichel (Denmark) and many other goalkeepers that left the football pitch with some memories of nightmare. |
Re: Enyeama Calls For Goal Line Technology After Embarrassing Ethiopia Goal by elampiro(m): 3:13pm On Oct 14, 2013 |
The rules of football states that the ball has to completely cross the goal line to count. Without a goal line tech it is hard, and when a few cameras are used in a match. It is hard to draw a conclusion when there is no camera taking a shot from the side view of the goal line. And it is worse when the linesman is not by the corner flag at the point of action. Although the second ball was Enyeama's fault, it is hard to conclude the ball crossed the line. It looked to be on the line, and the linesman was no where around the corner flag to take a credible decision. The first cleared by Obaobuna looked like a goal. However, the linesman was correctly positioned when he denied the Ethopians that goal. The question is did the ball cross the line 100%? That is what a goal line tech should have showed us. The referee and linesman were not so sure, I think this was why they could not resist giving the Ethiopians the second ball which Enyeama miscalculated. The second ball didn't look like a goal to me. Someone said, two half goals is = 1 goal. Lol At the end it was fair. It would have been more controversial if both goals were either awarded or denied outrightly in the absence of a goal tech. 7 Likes |
