I Have Been Crucified--- Our Bodies On A Tight Leash. by Nobody: 8:10am On Oct 20, 2013
I do not know if you've heard that we need to crucify
the flesh and die away from it daily. There are many
Christians who say that the flesh must be crucified
daily, and we must die away from it daily.
In a way we are saying this, even if they do not say it
directly: The flesh and the old nature are not
completely dead and it must be suppressed, or
crucified.
In fact there is nowhere in the Bible where it says that
we must crucify the flesh daily, everywhere it says that
the flesh, or the old nature, old man, was crucified.
It's in the past tense, it has already occurred. It
happened in the past.
Gal 5:24
24 But those belonging to Christ have crucified the
flesh with its passions and lusts.
Gal 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ...
So why then do some say that we have to crucify the
flesh? This I believe is because we often do not feel that
we already are crucified, we feel that the sin nature still
lives in us.
