It's alarming the way people equate black to demons,evil spirit and worst of all failure.
That was the white man's propaganda during the days of slavery, it's disheartening that it's now deeply rooted in us to see anything black as such.
it's is just a question of science, black color absorb heat radiation more than any other color, painting a house black simply turns the house to an oven.

Well this question is funny because a lot of people actually think it's weird to use black on anything other than metal.

As per your question, there's nothing wrong with painting a house black, the problem is you won't even see 'Black Emulsion/Texcote Paint' which is what is used on wall surfaces.
Black only comes in 'Oil or Lustre' used on metal for its shiny properties.

But if you so much like to have black somewhere in a house, it's okay to choose tiles(black) for floors or on the bathroom walls (it looks really nice here).
