A Building In Lagos collapsed in the wee hours of Wednesday Morning.

The incident occurred at Oke Arin Street, off Shyllon in the Ilupeju area.

Emergency officials are at the scene though still unclear if there are casualties.

Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Oluwafemi Oke-Osanyintolu confirmed the collapse.

The official said the Alpha Cobra team of the service is at the scene for a rescue operation.

The incident occurred less than two weeks after a church building under construction fell at Cardoso Street, off Martins Street in Mushin.

Lackadaisical attitude most landlord in Lagos is just d major cause of this collapse.
Also, sometimes afonjas seems to be careless in living, there is one at one end, d structure of d building was suppose to be a storey but d landlord added 2 more making it 3 instead of 1 without a pillar and people hv being living their for many years (from my enquiry)..
Beside d 3 storey building is also a bungalow, that structure won't last more than 5years before d havoc would occur and I pity those living there.
Rest in peace in advance to those that would witness d collapse of d building.

Lagos happens to be the industrial capital and economic hub of the country, it's no wonder when Lagos sneezes the whole country shakes . Anything that happens in Lagos makes the news positively or negatively but the way the media is denigrating the states efforts shows there's something fishy. Lagos is the pride of Nigeria prior to the election but the worse during this election season .
They hype Anambra but Anambrians are praying to relocate and live in Lagos or the southwest.

Building under construction collapsing is better than when it has been occupied.

Do we blame it on poor and substandard building materials or faulty foundation.

In cases like this, experts need to tell the people what caused the collapse so others can learn from it to avoid future occurrences.

If you are a Nigerian student or you have one in your family or in your area who is affected by this ongoing ASUU strike, and you supported the Sorosoke generation during the year 2020 #Endsars protest, and yet you are still supporting APC, then your brain must be hidden somewhere in your shoes.
