I believe all those asking for the punishment/death of the suspects ... without due trial ... might even be more backward and barbaric than the core Boko-haram members themselves... :-/ 2 Likes |

Even lawyers are sent out on the pretense of lack of space? ... It is really obvious that there is a high possibility government is hiding something... perhaps they're trying to prevent the implication of some dignitaries. ... The mere fact that the defendants are denied interpreters... and the case is unfairly adjourned points in the direction of unnecessary secrecy and irregularity. ... On the other hand, I may be wrong. There may be laudable excuses for the reported occurrence(s). 2 Likes |

Manchidede: The case had suffered two adjournments on October 2 and 9, due to lack of interpreter and the absence of the trial judge, respectively, could not go on yesterday. The earlier they embrace western education the better for them 2 Likes |

Na wa o! since when did Hausa interpreters became this scarce in Lagos? didnt they knew that those guys need interpreters before taking them to court? How did they manage to take their statements? is it not the responsibility of the state to provide a legal representative for an accuse if he cannot afford one? Why are the stalling this case? 1 Like |

Bpriest: those animals don't deserve a trial Why? What if they were not caught in the act? What if they are only victims of circumstance? What if they can make a deal with the prosecution...plead guilty... and hand over the leader of the sect ? Everybody deserves a fair trial sir... It's an autochthonous and fundamental right. 2 Likes |
