you just need to concentrate and at least study one chapter in a study session.

like sharpman wrote, the BPP and kaplan series(or even GtG) are enough to pass the exams.

hello, pls i need to know if this is supposed to get me worried; i registered with acca like 2 months ago, they sent me a confirmation mail but since then they havent sent my welcome pack and i m gon be writing december diet. pls do i have a reason to worry?

You don't need to worry. Since you got a confirmation mail, all you need to is to log into MYACCA on their site to see if you're payment as reflected. About the welcome pack, that is still on its way. I registered over 2 months ago myself and am still yet to get my welcome pack., although i have received my student ID card.

At dis stage any attempt to go thru an entire text not to mention review kit, particularly if u have no prior knowledge will require all your attention and potentially affect your studying for any other papers u are taking.my advice.i am using F8 i-learn cd (finished it) and it is pretty complete.it will be better to use this try as many questions as u can get your hands on. and most importantly attend a revision class if u can.but if u know u arent strong in dis paper dont kill yourself over it and neglect d papers u have potential to pass.trust me.anyway best of luck and which other papers are u taking.

Montelik thx. I wish to sit for F8 only, please can i defer the exam till june, no preparation for this paper at all. Ur advice

@ teetee2. its is too late to defer.u can either write d paper or not show up on exam day and be marked as absent. since u only intend taking F8 i will assume who have some knowledge of d other papers f9,f7.if so with serious reading and revision u can still pass d paper.luckily u only intend sitting for one paper so u can still make it.pass mark is just 50%.

My brother isn't up to 21 and doesn't have his degree.

Your brother is above 18yrs so he could start acca professional exams without going thru cat. but he wld not be exw
exempted because he has not yet got any degree.

he doesn't even need exemptions. he has no degree, OND, HND etc. he just got admission to university. i really wanted to know if he could take the professional exams (F1) as opposed to taking CAT first.

I suggest you read this thread from the 1st page.


Your brother still has the option of AFFIDAVIT but it's better to be on the safe side.


Moreover, CAT would help him alot in F5-F9(F6/F8---CAT9/CAT 'cos he would have done 50% of the work there in the 9 CAT papers.

PASS CENTRE (Gbagada) offers weekend CAT lectures.

StarryGold (Ikeja) offers weekday CAT lectures (More like a "university" or those ones wey jamb don do)

Congrats!!!!! to all who pass last dec 2008 diet examination.

Registration as a student of ACCA is on for student wishing to write Dec 2009 exams. Register, buy materials and start reading cos its never too early to start.

To register as a student of ACCA, u must fulfil any of the following:

1. Bsc or HND in any course

2. OND/ATS in Accounting or any recognised Accounting certificate

3. 21yrs and Above

In addition to d above, u will need to submit the ffg document:

1. Transcript ( for exemption purpose)/ Statement of result

2. Birth Certificate or sworn declaration of age

3. One passprt photograph.

I register student online wit a fee of 23,000.
