There was a case like this on Grey's Anatomy(season three,I think).The little girl who had it needed corrective surgery.Pain is necessary.At least you get to know when something is wrong.
Internal organs could get damaged without this boy knowing;he could die.It's not an entirely good thing.

People, they said he cant feel pain not he cant get hurt. Will you not be worried if everyday you go to bathe or kiss your child goodnight you find cuts, bruises and broken bones that that child did not feel was there? Pain is very vital to humans it makes us leave things or places that can harm us eg hot pots, hot water, burning cars etc it also helps us care for our body so as to preserve it by making us realize when wounds, broken bones or hits in the head or other parts of the body need urgent attention to make them not get infected and threaten life. It may sound fun but this boy could die without knowing it. No parent will think this funny.
