Power Sector Reforms: FG Ready For Saboteurs by Nobody: 11:53am On Nov 02, 2013
The minister of power, Prof Nebo, said the federal govt is battle ready for potential saboteurs of power facilities.

The minister was a special guest at today's Channelstv programme, Sunrise. The presenter asked the minister if the govt had factored in the activities of saboteurs into its projections for stable power supply in the country. Prof Nebo responded by saying that saboteurs vandalised certain gas pipelines with dynamites just for the sole purpose of disrupting the power sector and power supply across the country. Similar incidents have also been observed in the power transmission lines.

Going forward, the minister said the FG is battle ready for these saboteurs. Already FG has deployed the military along some major transmission lines. Also, helicopters and sensors will be deployed along vulnerable pipelines to curb vandalism.

The former power minister said the generator importers, diesel suppliers and government contractors were the ones sabotaging Power sector reforms, and that led to his resignation/sack. It seems our ignoble @Sincere 9gerian knows more of the power sector than Prof Barth Nnaji!

Most of the generator suppliers and Diesel suppliers(Femi Otedola and co) are close friends of Mr President.

How APC became saboteurs of the power sector is what I cannot fathom. Did Prof. Nebo mention anyone in particular? Don't you think the saboteurs of the power sector are the people who import generators and sell diesel just as Barth Nnaji pointed?
Op,its either you are deluded or you just want to waste space opening silly threads. No wonder you keep whining about your threads not making FP.

Failed government headed by most clueless nonentity called Jonathan. We are still talking about saboteurs of gas pipelines despite 100s of billions spent on security of lives and properties every year.

And for you the "sincere9geria", if APC has nothing to do with gas pipeline saboteur, may thunder strikes you.

@OP
The same evil APC carry out the sabotage, then immediately rush to PUNCH and The Nation to blow media propaganda of how Megawatts have dropped - power sector reforms is not making headway.

See, the truth is, most charlatans in APC are not happy that Nigeria is making progress and moving forward under Jonathan. They pray for failure. They are doing everything including outright sabotage of gas pipelines, negative media propaganda, engineering electricity workers against government etc. Like a pack of cards they will all fail woefully.

If you agree that APC is sabotaging the gas pipeline, may thunder hits you also. You can disagree with someone politically but don't just come out with blatant lie that APC is sabotaging gas pipeline.

this Op has not learned anything from his last ban, why peddle false information? I am not surprised though since the president claimed on national tv that the APC is responsible for ASUU.

^^^Nowhere was it stated in the thread you refer to that the list of bitter scoundrels given by the former minister was final.

I don't need a clairvoyant to tell me that GEJ fixing the power sector is the oppositions worst nightmare!

Really? I am also typing with a phone and you don't need to read my comments twice to know what I am writing. Using a phone to give flimsy excuse about his inability to construct simple sentences is the stupidest thing I have heard in a while. FYI,almost all phones have spelling aid if you don't know.

Did Prof Nebo say during his interview, that APC is responsible? If APC is known to be behind the constant sabotage, government griots(Abati, Okupe and co) would be singing to Nigerians, that the sabotages are politically motivated.
