I remember like Far back 10 to 12 years ago (early two thosand) yahoo messager was the major source of social networking(Infact, the only one I know). You will see pple spending several hrs in cyber cafe just for d purpose of finding new friends and charting with old ones. Then came came myspace, with a little bit more social platform. Soon, Facebook joined the scene, as well as twitter, bbm, and most recently 2go, whatapp, etc. With all these highly sociable social network platform, I am beginning to wonder if anyone still care about yahoomessager.
Now, over to the audience.

Yeah people still use it,mostly yahoo boys... in fact if yahoo messenger goes offline for a month all those yahoo boys going about in big cars will go bankrupt sharply

Still use it once in a while. It's popularity has taken a serious dent, as it's a far cry from the early '00s when the Yahoo Messenger used to be a highly ubiquitous desktop icon. I think it's popularity also waned when they closed down the public chat rooms because of the activities of paedophiles.

I can't even sign into my account. At least my phone won't let me in but my yahoo email still works. I gave up on messenger a long time ago.
